Project Description
The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) is the owner and the operator of the sewers within its administrative area. The Greater Colombo Water and Wastewater Management Improvement Investment Programme – Project 2 address issues related to rehabilitation and extension of existing sewerage network, and treatment of wastewater before disposal of the CMC sewerage system. The Project covers the Northern Sewerage System (NSS), the Southern Sewerage System (SSS) and the Non-served areas within the boundary of NSS and SSS in the CMC area.
